Sprint Customer Service is Horrible! All services offered are horrible! DO NOT USE!
Sprint's customer service is not a breath of fresh air and neither is the phone service. When I signed up back in January, I agreed to a charge (with fees and taxes already written into that charge) of $203 a month, with the first payment being more because of a setup fee. Well, after that first month, I was still being charged almost $100 more, and the only thing customer service could tell me was that it was "fees and taxes," even though those are already supposed to be accounted for. It's almost as if someone was still charging me the setup fee each month, but they were too ignorant to stop the charge (or perhaps too greedy). So I kept paying it because I felt I had no choice since I needed service, but I felt it was a breech of contract.
Then things started to fall apart even more.
I'm paying for LTE and am supposed to have it in my area (and hell, I'm only a half mile away from a Sprint tower!), but outside of the first month of service, I haven't seen anything beyond 3G (and sometimes 1x!) on my phone. No, LTE isn't shut off, and I'm probably more technically-advanced than your technical support staff. Either service is just that crappy, or the hardware was starting to fail in the phone. I want to say the antenna in the phone is just bad, but no, it could be the service because this phone has pulled 4G, but only downtown around the circle, and only outside on a sunny day. That, and I can barely get a bar on the phone signal side of things. I've had dropped call after dropped call and often in the middle of important calls.
The microphone started having issues on my phone next (which seems to be a common enough problem with these phones that they don't tell you, but I can find it in a search on Google). I would be talking to someone, and suddenly, they couldn't hear me. It grew worse -- so bad I needed to replace the phone. Plus, the audio jack stopped working on my husband's GS3. Good thing I had insurance added to my account!
So we replaced the phones. And everything was a little better...until this morning. Sprint suspended my service just because my account is $40 over. Now most people would laugh and say, "Pay the $40!" However, after all that I've been through in this short time, I am simply done. I am not being gouged for more, and in all honesty, I'd rather take my service to a "pay as you go" because at least I know I won't be charged more than I'm supposed to be. I'm on Social Security, and you've had it noted (supposedly) in my account that I pay on the 1st of the month. I've been prompt with my payments. And I'd be happy to pay the huge amount I'm going to have to pay now (the extra $60 a month I've been paying for no reason and this extra amount, making this somewhere over $300) on the 1st normally, but with this having happened and then being fed more bs by your customer service people when I talked to someone about this...I am just done. Good-bye, Sprint. Hello, Straight Talk. (And no, I won't take your "pay as you go" services because we've had Boost and Virgin before in this area. Boost is mediocre at best, and Virgin just plain sucks at everything -- which makes sense when people say they are on your "shit tier" of service. No thanks.)
