Birth to Fetuses That Have no Brain Function? Seriously? WTF?
I guess the golden standard for being a member of Congress isn't very high these days. What the F@#k is this guys problem?
You really want a woman that knows via ultra-sounds and a babies heart rate monitor, that the child is brain dead and gone, to suffer through the pain and hell of bringing this kid into this world for what exact reason?
Please take your anti-abortion drivel and stupid shit somewhere else.
You obviously missed that day in Science/ Health class back in high school where the teacher taught about a body needing a functioning brain to be alive and healthy.
The stupidity of some of these guys really hurts my brains sometimes. Ugh...

Al Franken's effort to stop Norm Coleman's recount effort has failed. A three judge panel came down with the ruling and a lawsuit over the contested election can now go forward.

What Will Congress Do In Lame-duck Session?
When Congress meets this week for a lame-duck session, the economic crisis looms large. Will Congress pass a plan President George W. Bush agrees with or will help from Washington have to wait for President-elect Barack Obama?
Today in History for November 17th
Highlights of this day in history: President Richard Nixon says 'I am not a crook'; Elizabeth I becomes Queen of England; Suez Canal opens; Congress holds first DC session; Sculptor Auguste Rodin dies; Film director Martin Scorsese born.

Mark Ritchie On Sen. Coleman's Campaign
I love this guy.
First he says it, then he backtracks.
I really think he doesn't know which way is up.
Take a look for yourself and see politics at its finest.

Lieberman: 'I Fear' America 'Won't Survive' With Dem. Senate
This guys a total traitor and lacks the moral character we need in a Democrat controlled Congress to push forward much needed changes.
I really hope Reid and Pelosi drop him from the caucus like a "bad habit" as soon as possible.
I wouldn't want him (Lieberman) having access to DNC emails and various secret documents not knowing where his loyalty's lie.

Some Senate, House Races Still Up in the Air
Roughly half a dozen races in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House remain too close to call. Some candidates are facing recounts or runoffs, or the counting of absentee ballots.

Lieberman Begs To Keep his Power Positions On Committees
Sen. Joe Lieberman says he will support President-elect Barack Obama despite backing Sen. John McCain.
Really, Benedict Arnold would like to keep his prestigious Congressional committee positions now?
He's dirty, a traitor and he deserves everything he gets from the Dems.
He turned on the party, he backed McCain and led in the viscous personal attacks against president-elect Obama.
Sorry John, you made this bed of lies and deceit, now you have to lay in it...

Schumer- 60 Senate seats for Democrats 'unlikely'
Just maybe this isn't such a bad thing.
I think one party rule is a terrible thing.
This now forces both parties to reach across the isle and come together for the betterment of the people.

Obama promises no time for 'crazy things' under Dem rule
Here's his full response:
Well, look, I think that my main concern right now is just making a case for why we need to change the economic policies that have gotten us into such a mess over the last eight years. I want to collaborate with Democrats and Republicans in getting that done. And you know, there are a lot of Democrats who may be elected who’ve made a commitment to their constituents to be centrist, I don’t think they’re gonna want to have sudden lurches to the left.
I think what we need to do is to create a responsive enough government that we’re dealing with our heath care crisis, dealing with energy in a serious way, pushing through a more balanced tax program so that middle class families are benefitting and responsibly ending the war in Iraq. Those things are going to take up a huge amount of time, you know when we’re also trying to stabilize the financial market.
I don’t think we’re going to have time to engage in a bunch of crazy things that people, the McCain campaign specifically, has suggested we might.

My Untold Secrets - I Wish I Could Take Back My Iraq War Vote
I found the above screen-cap on a post your secret website called "my untold secrets".
I thought the post was rather telling and obviously someone in Congress, maybe a Republican, has serious second thoughts about voting yes for the war in Iraq.
It's nice to see some members of Congress have a conscience.
The secret website and post is here..

Sarah Palin: VP Is 'In Charge Of United States Senate'
Nope, sorry you have failed again Sarah.
The VP can cast the tie-breaker if need be, that's it.
Darth Cheney has had to do it a few times when the Republicans blocked legislation with a 50-50 tie in the Senate.
Michelle Malkin on Obama and socialism
I love her argument (not really...).
When John McCain votes for the Wall Street bailout he's being a good American.
When Barack Obama votes for the same bill, it's rampant socialism.
I personally think you have been drinking the GOP kool-aid a little too much lately Michelle.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress Monday a fresh round of government stimulus is a good idea because there's a risk the country's economic weakness could last for some time.

I guess places like this would be a decent gauge of what people find important right now and whether or not your well financed lobbyist spin machine is working or not.

Senate Agrees to Nuclear Deal With India
The Senate has voted to overturn a three-decade ban on atomic trade with India. The pact allows American businesses to begin selling nuclear fuel to India in exchange for safeguards and U.N. inspections at India's civilian nuclear plants.
