Alaska Democratic Senate candidate Mark Begich has now taken the lead in his race against Republican Sen. Ted Stevens. After counting some of the absentee and early votes, Begich is in the lead by 814 votes.
I will really hope Begich wins this race in a big way.
I'm personally not looking forward to an runoff election involving Sarah Palin and really hope she will just fall back into obscurity where she belongs.
She used up her 15 minutes of fame years ago and just needs to fade away as a bad memeory.
Plus, a corrupt, convicted Ted Stevens doesn't deserve to hold a Senate seat and we can avoid a rather messy and drama filled impeachment from the Senate with a commanding Mark Begich victory.
