Michael William Sizemore Mackey-Linville was born at 5:43am. He's 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and 20 inches.
Anyone who's ever been screwed over by their insurance company would sympathize -- the mother had to deliver at IUPUI here in Indy because the small town hospital they were to deliver in was incapable of handling the mother's low platelet count, and there was confusion over how the mother would be transported up to Indy because insurance wouldn't cover transportation from Batesville, Indiana. All of the local ambulatory services couldn't be reached (or bothered), so the mother arrived via her parents. Such is Indiana, and such is crappy insurance coverage.
However, everything's fine, and the baby is healthy (an APGAR score of 8/9) even for being just a little early!
