I spent time buying the new domain and trying to set up DynDNS only to figure it out it's a major league pain to use and almost impossible to figure out.
The lesson taken from this, don't even dream of setting up your own webserver unless you have done your homework and know whats going on.
The good thing to come from this experience is the fact the blog will also have the redvsblueblog.com domain name in 60 days.
We have a blog posting account set-up with yahoo and we are finalising the wordpress install as I type this.
We are knocking out some details of a new template and adding back links and some new functionality.
The new blog address will be:
redvsblueblog.net
or
www.redvsblueblog.net
as soon as the dns servers finish setting up.
We expect the Wordpress blog to be up and running on Monday.
