Lieberman with 46 percent of votes to Democratic Senate nominee Ned Lamont's 44 percent, with 84 precincts reporting, the Associated Press reports. Republican Alan Schlesinger trailed with 9 percent.

Based on those results and exit polling, the Associated Press has declared Lieberman the likely winner."
