Republicans Show Act Of Desperation, Using Term Defeatocrat To Slander and Attack Democrats

Do high moral standards and values include slander and mudslinging?

The Republicans are running scared. In the White House, on Capitol Hill and on the campaign trail, they're worried about losing control of Congress. And so the administration and the GOP have launched a desperate assault on Democrats and our position on the war in Iraq. Defeatists, they call us, and appeasers and -- oh so cleverly -- "Defeatocrats."

Vice President Cheney has accused Democrats of "self-defeating pessimism." Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld has faulted us for believing that "vicious extremists can be appeased." The White House calls Democrats the party of "cut and run."

A most definite act of desperation and a hail-marry pass from the RNC and probably was instituted or created by Mr.Swift-Boat, Karl Rove himself.
The Republicans are dropping in polls like the Titanic and this just reeks of underhanded tactics and doing whatever it takes, both the ethical and criminally devious to win tight races.
I love the fact that the GOP has all but conceded that Iraq is all but lost.
We have Gay Republicans senators screwing around with underage pages and the answer is to try to label the other side as defeatists and completely ignore the party sinking fast all around them.

I think the nasty attack ads and the constant sex scandals and indictments have already done their damage and their is little the RNC can do to change the tide at this point.
I would think that 75% or better of the electorate have already made up their minds as to which party is going to get their votes (or not if they are disgusted in the absolute failure a GOP lead Congress and president have become..)

They use the term Defeatocrat, I have a term for them, Republithug.
The GOP as a party is acting more like mobsters trying to hold onto their crime family syndicates than a holier than though party led by religious zeal and high moral convictions.
People will see through the "smoke and mirrors" games they are pulling and will vote with their convictions.
This means bad news if you are a Republican and both a breathe of fresh air and a real solid shot if you are a Democrat trying to run the board.

It's actually a delightful scene watching the party of absolutely power crumbling to ruins.

After all, they shouldn't complain, they made this bed and now they must lay in it.
