What can you say? Tiger is one of the greatest athletes of all time.
Woods sealed the win with a tap-in for par at the last to tie Sean O'Hair for the lowest round of the day. He hugged his caddie Steve Williams and began to cry as he left the green to embrace his wife, Elin, and coach Hank Haney.
Emotions
The event was Woods's third since his father Earl died in May and his first major since he missed the cut at last month's U.S. Open, the only time he hasn't made the weekend rounds at a major as a pro.
"Once I finished all these emotions came pouring out; I miss my dad so much," said Woods, who takes home the winner's check of 720,000 pounds ($1.3 million). "I wish he was here. It would have brought a smile to his face."
His winning score of 18-under par was one outside the record he set in winning his first British Open, at St. Andrews, Scotland, in 2000.
