"I've directed Secretary of State Rice to travel to the Middle East in the coming days to discuss the best ways to resolve this crisis with leaders in the region," said President Bush.
"Secretary Rice will make it clear that resolving the crisis demands confronting the terrorist group that launched the attacks and the nations that support it," Bush said.
Huh? But gee, Condi only talked to Israel because "Syria knows what it needs to do" and you know we don't negotiate with "terrorists like Hezbollah". So just whom the hell did she confront again?
I guess a little "white lie" never hurt anyone, right, George?
Minister condemns Israeli action
Foreign Office minister Kim Howells has criticised Israel's bombardment of Lebanon, while on a visit to Beirut.
He said Israel had not carried out "surgical strikes" and attacking the Lebanese nation was not the answer.
