Well, here's something they definitely aren't telling us in the evening news. Is it real? That I can't tell you, but I can tell you that having sat through an economics class, reading this turned on the light bulb in my head, so to speak, and certainly makes me wonder about more of the ulterior motives behind this war.
The article is somewhat old now, but it certainly explains the interest our government has had in Iran over the past year. Here's the site's summary of the article:
The author explains clearly that the Iranians have committed an offense far greater than Saddam's conversion to the euro of Iraq's oil exports in the fall of 2000. It is Iran's upcoming euro-based oil Bourse -- this is what the US government cannot tolerate, and will bomb Iran to smithereens unless they "cooperate." The people should understand that this new war has nothing to do with Iran's nuclear weapons. It has nothing for sure to do with freedom and democracy. It has to do with one thing alone, and that is for the US to maintain their economic empire via having the US dollar continue as fiat currency. Nobody should be fooled by mainstream media talk of Iran's nuclear development. This is about economics and US maintaining their Empire!
