*Iraqi Religious Leaders Call for Peace...calling curfew after curfew may keep violence out of the streets, but nothing can stop the anger that is building up in the hearts of the Shiites.

*Identity of Official to Be Kept From Libby...which is great for the White House since asking Bush for records would be like pulling teeth and could potentially hurt Libby's case, and it's also great for those who don't want Libby's people to "accidentally" let this information leak to the unnamed official (read: Cheney or Rove) so that person has time to plan his escape.

*Santorum Charity Low on Giving, Up on Fees...well, you know that happens when too many people have their hands in the cookie jar; who is actually getting charity here?

*Pentagon denies Wolfowitz approved Guantanamo interrogation tactics...even though there's documented proof.

*Airborne soldiers charged with making gay porn...something tells me that if that had been "lesbian porn," then these guys would be heroes.

*Summers' time over at Harvard...resigned after threats of violence; apparently, that happens when you tell the Black Studies professor to stop writing rap lyrics and to stop hanging out with Al Sharpton.

*32 Indicted on Racketeering Charges in Manhattan...I wasn't aware that a Godfather remake is being filmed in New York.

*Foiled Attack on Saudi Oil Sends Ominous Message...that by this time next week, you may be paying almost $10 per gallon for gas.

*"Idol" wins Thursday against stiff competition...proving that next time, perhaps the Olympics should be aired on the ESPN "Ocho" instead of network television.

*Seattle Muslim groups unite to pray for peace...as things turn nasty in the Middle East.

*Iran Has Started Producing Enriched Uranium...but hold off on the WMD search, Dubya, because it's not quite enough for a cluster of nukes yet.

"I'm not the only historian to defend Hitler"...actually, you are correct there, Mr. Irving, and you're in good company--Marge Schott once said Hitler "was good in the beginning, but went too far."

The White House Katrina Report...which is nothing more than 228 pages of the usual "we are moving on; here's a bunch of things we can implement to make things go more smoothly next time" rhetoric.

3 Charged With Planning to Attack Troops...which sounds like a case of men in uniform jumping the gun again; didn't this also happen right after 9/11 when everyone thought that the "Arab family next door who had always been so nice" were now terrorists by ethnic association?
