How many times does the Bush administration go into weeks of nothing but bad political news, and then they pull out their trump card?
Bin Laden Vows Never to Be Captured Alive
Osama bin Laden promised never to be captured alive and declared the U.S. had resorted to the same "repressive" tactics used by Saddam Hussein, according to an audiotape purportedly by the al-Qaida leader that was posted Monday on a militant Web site.
The tape appeared to be a complete version of one that was first broadcast Jan. 19 on Al-Jazeera, the pan-Arab satellite channel, in which bin Laden offered the United States a long-term truce but also said his al-Qaida terror network would soon launch a fresh attack on American soil.
"I have sworn to only live free. Even if I find bitter the taste of death, I don't want to die humiliated or deceived," bin Laden said.
In drawing the comparison to American military behavior in Iraq to that of Saddam, the speaker said:
"The jihad is continuing with strength, for Allah be all the credit, despite all the barbarity, the repressive steps taken by the American Army and its agents, to the extent that there is no longer any mentionable difference between this criminality and the criminality of Saddam."
Among all, this is going wrong:
The secret port deal that no one knew about but everyone signed off on.
The energy workers laid off before the younger Bush's visit, only to magically get their jobs back and money put back into the program.
This horse and pony show may have worked on the ranch but it's not fooling anyone anymore. This stunt looks even worse after Karl Rove comes out saying the Republicans only way to keep the throne is through scaring people on terror again.

WASHINGTON - Embattled White House adviser Karl Rove vowed Friday to make the war on terrorism a central campaign issue in November and said Democratic senators looked "mean-spirited and small-minded" in questioning Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito.
"Republicans have a post-9/11 view of the world. And Democrats have a pre-9/11 view of the world," Rove told Republican activists. "That doesn't make them unpatriotic, not at all. But it does make them wrong--deeply and profoundly and consistently wrong."
I'm glad that the Republican Party is now being honest about something and publically saying what many people have thought during this entire administration's run.
I guess scaring people to death and degrading the memory of those who died in the 9/11 attacks is good for business if you are the GOP. A truly elegant example of high moral values and and true character, isn't it?
