The Midday Quickie
Democrats in Congress are disputing possible fake WMD intelligence about Iraq again. Deja Vu anyone?
Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (D-Conn.) again votes against legislation that would limit the Iraq War and says we must now support President Bush and the War in Iraq (stay the course..)? Lieberman is looking more like a Republican in Dems clothing every day.
A report commissioned by the White House (National Academy of Sciences) now states with scientific evidence that the earth is rapidly heating up and it now is the hottest it's been in 1000 years. This bi-line is stocked full of irony.
John Stewart, a enemy of Democracy. Maybe he's a enemy of every politician that tries to pull a fast one, but Democracy, nah, I don't think so.
Senate rejects Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) sponsored bill that would bring the troops home in 11 months. 44 Senate Democrats voted against 2 bills. The Dems again fail to grow a set. Then again, what else is new?
In a shocking first, the Supreme Court sides with workers against big business allowing workers to sue over retaliation on the job.
Bush Administration again caught mining private records in violation of privacy and federal banking laws. This time it's a global banking database. New York Times and the Washington Post had been asked to not publish the story. More crimes, thuggery and still no accountability.
