Ny Budget Blowout: 88 New Fees, Taxes

Gov. Paterson's proposed $121 billion budget hits New Yorkers in their iPods - and nickels-and-dimes them in lots of other places, too.

Trying to close a $15.4 billion budget gap, Paterson called for 88 new fees and a host of other taxes, including an "iPod tax" that taxes the sale of downloaded music and other "digitally delivered entertainment services."

Axelrod- Obama may delay tax rollback for the wealthy

I think this argument makes a ton of sense.
Delay taking away tax breaks for the wealthy so they keep putting investment into jobs and keep the economy growing.
I also see the need to end the welfare for the rich at some point.

Full Video of Aaron Russo's "America: Freedom to Fascism"

Since the very recently signed Military Commissions Act of 2006, the government can now arrest you, in your home and without a warrant, and incarcerate you without honoring your request for a lawyer. You can disappear for as long as they wish to hold you and you have no recourse. Aaron Russo said that due to this, his plan of theatre release of his film "America: Freedom to Fascism" will take too much time to get this film to the public so he has placed it on the internet for free. The authorized version of Aaron Russo's "America: Freedom to Fascism" is now up on googlevideo.

McCain Hammers Obama's Tax Plan

Sen. John McCain sharply criticized Barack Obama's tax plan Monday, saying that Obama would bring a spread-the-wealth philosophy that would kill jobs and worsen the already sour economy.

Palin Warns New Mexico Voters About Taxes

Biden Defends Obama Tax-cut Plan in Wash.

Debate: Difference in Candidates Tax Plans

During their third debate, both Senators John McCain and Barack Obama admitted big differences in their tax plans for the economy.

Obama Explains His Tax Cut Plans To Joe the Plumber

This guy walks, talks and smells like a GOP plant.
For one, he already is out talking to the press and was bending over backwards to give soundbytes:

Locating Joe | 10:44 p.m. Looks like The Associated Press reached Joe the Plumber, er, Joe Wurzelbacher, who lives near Toledo, Ohio. He did not say who he was voting for, but did say he was surprised that he was called “Joe the Plumber” repeatedly during the debate.

“It’s pretty surreal, man, my name being mentioned in a presidential campaign,” he is quoted as saying.

And secondly, amazingly, he's not registered to vote in Ohio:

Two readers with access to the Ohio voter file say that Joe Wurzelbacher's inluence on this cycle will be limited in one way: He doesn't appear to be registered to vote.

(And yes, the freelance opposition research on Joe began before the debate ended.)

This just seems rather odd and all to convenient for the McCain campaign.
Nice job guys, but I still don't buy the randomness of "Joe the Plumber" or the fact he was a major talking/attack point of the final debate.
Something definitely smells rotten here.

John McCain Voted To Raise Taxes 477 Times

This debunks the McCain myth that Obama is the only politician in the history of politics to raise taxes.
Look in the mirror John, you might be surprised at the "tax and spend" Republican staring back at you.
