Lou Jing, a Chinese girl born to a Chinese mother and an African-American father she never met, has sparked a national furor after appearing on the TV singing competition Go! Oriental Angel. "I can't believe she's so shameless that she would go on TV," a poster commented on a web forum.
This party will never learn. Going racial costs the Republicans just about everything and know that have mouthpieces defending it? How out of touch are the Republicans right now?
What if everything you thought was empowering to black people had nothing to do with how the actual first black president gained office and ran the office? What do you do with all those ideas?
Things like this really back up my argument that schools here in America are meant to push pro-government propaganda and breed conformity only.
People (students) who speak up or try to lead are often cast as outcasts and berated or ignored all together. Our school systems should be breeding the leaders of tomorrow, not the dropouts of today.
QUINN: This is by Frances Rice. You can Google this in HumanEvents.com. Just Google "Frances Rice," a black historian. Frances Rice says, "It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? Well, from its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks." Gee, you'd never know that walking through the hallways of a school today or listening to the media. "And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democratic Party is, as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation, and now, socialism."
You know, I was thinking about this. You know, if you were a slave in the old South, what did you get as a slave? You got free room and board, you got free money, and you got rewarded for having children because that was just, you know, tomorrow's slave. So, you got a free house, you got free money, and you got rewarded for having children. Can I ask a question? How's that different from welfare? You get a free house, you get free food, and you get rewarded for having children. Oh, wait a minute, hold on a second. There is a difference: The slave had to work for it.
The racism and hatred spewed from rabid Republicans seems to never end. I love the part where this jerk explains the Republican party has been a gleaming example of freedom and civil rights for blacks.
Oh yeah, this guy has been sipping the kool-aid a bit to much lately. Remember the guys who shot Kennedy and Martin Luther King, both fundamental Republicans. Both of these guys championed rights for African-Americans and they were rewarded with a bullet.
Don't give me that shit that the GOP loves black and minorities now. I'm not one of the sheeple.
The racist hatred from Republicans seems to never end. People really need to look beyond this mans skin color and see the great leader we all have elected.
I still think the jury is out on this one. It may have been intentional then it may have just been a coincidence, who really knows?
This just wreaks of a last ditch effort, "October surprise" and definitely looks like another GOP attempt at race baiting. These guys just can't stay away from playing the race card.
Matt Drudge of Drudge Report fame is having one of his hilarious 190 font all caps, the world is ending moments. I swear that guy is such a drama queen.
And here's the video, take a look and decide for yourself:
TRANSCRIPTION: FEMALE: Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein, he associates with terrorists [...]he is anti-American, he is anti-military, he has done nothing for Chicago, his middle name is a terrorist name, he takes money from terrorists, he associates with terrorists.
MALE MCCAIN SUPPORTER: How 'bout Dope and Lose Change? (repeats)
MOTHER (to children): I don't want you around this.
DEMONSTRATORS: Hope not hate, hope not hate.
MALE: Dope and Lose Change, Dope and Lose Change.
DEMONSTRATORS: War breeds hate, war breeds hate.
CROWD: Vote McCain not Barack Hussein, Vote McCain not Barack Hussein [...]
CROWD: Vote McCain, not Hussein, vote McCain, not Hussein.
These idiots take stupid to a whole new level. The amount of racist idiots at the McCain events never seems to shock me anymore.
HERE IN TEMPLE TERRACE, FL OUR REPUBLICAN HQ IS ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM OUR LIBRARY, WHICH IS AN EARLY VOTING SITE.
I SEE CARLOADS OF BLACK OBAMA SUPPORTERS COMING FROM THE INNER CITY TO CAST THEIR VOTES FOR OBAMA. THIS IS THEIR CHANCE TO GET A BLACK PRESIDENT AND THEY SEEM TO CARE LITTLE THAT HE IS AT MINIMUM, SOCIALIST, AND PROBABLY MARXIST IN HIS CORE BELIEFS. AFTER ALL, HE IS BLACK--NO EXPERIENCE OR ACCOMPLISHMENTS--BUT HE IS BLACK. I ALSO SEE YOUNG COLLEGE STUDENTS AND THEIR PROFESSORS FROM USF PARKING THEIR CARS WITH THE PROMINENT 'OBAMA' BUMPER STICKERS. THE STUDENTS ARE ENTHUSIASTIC TO BE VOTING IN A HISTORIC ELECTION WHERE THERE MAY BE THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT.
WTF is wrong with these panicking Republicans? The world is going to end because African-Americans are coming to the polls in record numbers? Really? I don't think so.
Well, maybe from their narrow minded viewpoint it is. I think the truth of this situation is fainally setting in. Republicans are going to suffer dramatic losses across the board and some GOP fundies can't handle the truth.
All I have to sat to that is, well, ha ha, life's a bitch ain't it? Republicans made this bed full of fail and now they have to lay in it.
A federal judge in Tennessee orders two men described as white supremicists accused of plotting to kill Barack Obama to remain behind bars, granting a defense request for more time to work on the case.
OLBERMANN: Finally, a "Campaign Comment" about the fraudulent race attack claim since acknowledged and recanted by a John McCain campaign volunteer in Pennsylvania. You know the story well, by now. It's a sad and demoralizing tale of a woman who could be summarized by the awful term B actress. Ashley Todd was not sexually assaulted by a big black man. He did not carve the letter B on her face to punish her for supporting John McCain.
It apparently never dawned on her it resembled less a cut than an abrasion done by a weapon no more sinister than a nail file. She was not even at the ATM where she claimed the attack took place. It apparently never dawned on her that the machine had security video and she would not be on it. And clearly, somewhere in her mind was a calculation that a story like this one with layer upon layer of racial threat could be some kind of game changer for the presidential candidate she worked to get elected in at least two states for at least two months. Her saga is pathetic. She now claims mental illness. If this too is not true, Miss Todd might think she's pulling another fast one over on the rest of us. In fact her claim seems to be accurate, whether she knows it or not.
In March, Ms. Todd was asked to leave a grass-roots group of Ron Paul supporters in Brazos County, Texas, group leader Dustan Costine said. He said Ms. Todd posed as a supporter of former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and called the local Republican committee seeking information about its campaign strategies.
"She would call the opposing campaign and pretend she was on their campaign to get information," Mr. Costine said last night. "We had to remove her because of the tactics she displayed. After that we had nothing to do with her."
About a month earlier, he said, Ms. Todd sent an e-mail to the Ron Paul group saying her tires were slashed and that campaign paraphernalia had been stolen from her car because she supported Mr. Paul. "She's the type of person who wants to be recognized," Mr. Costine said.
There seems to be a direct connection between racial/religious wackos and the GOP. What about being a feverish Republican supporter breeds such ignorance and hatred?
This keeps getting uglier and uglier by the minute. What's really sad is the fact the McCain campaign practically puts their seal of approval on these attacks by remaining silent. Sometimes what you don't say can be just as bad as what you do.
A supporter of Sarah Palin shouts the n-word in a reference to Barack Obama while Palin herself attempts to connect her opponent to "other countries where people are not free."
This time it's clear that Palin actually heard what the person said, because the racial slur broke her stride and caused her to stammer for a brief second before continuing in her sentence.
However, she did nothing to condemn her supporters' racism, and even seemed to egg it on by suggesting that Obama is not a real American but belongs in some other country, such as perhaps Iran.
