Greenwald: Welcome to Bush's Third Term

Glenn Greenwald: When it comes to uprooting ("changing") the Bush/Cheney approach to Terrorism and civil liberties -- the issue which generated as much opposition to the last presidency as anything else -- the Obama administration has proven rather conclusively that tiny and cosmetic adjustments are the most it is willing to do. They love announcing new policies that cast the appearance of change but which have no effect whatsoever on presidential powers.

Former President George Bush should have pardoned Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Dick Cheney said after stepping down as vice president this week. "He was the victim of a serious miscarriage of justice, and I strongly believe that he deserved a presidential pardon. Obviously, I disagree with President Bush's decision," Cheney told Stephen F. Breaking! - Scott McClellan Proves George W. Bush Outed CIA Agent Valerie Plame

11/15/08 Scott McClellan 2008 Miami Book Fair C-SPAN Book TV
Scott McClellan author of "What Happened"

President Bush ordered classified information to be disclosed for political gain and outed a C.I.A. agent in deep cover during this situation.
He basically put the lives of several undercover agents at risk all for the satisfaction of a cheap political shot.

Quite frankly, he must be tried for treason and war crimes (Iraq) and brought to justice.

If president elect Barack Obama is serious about change, he must prove it and go after these corrupt basta@ds.
They cannot be allowed to walk away from the White House with a free ride for the treasonous crimes they have committed.

The Young Turks - George Bush Might Hand Out a Blanket Pardon

As corrupt and underhanded as Bush is I could really see this happening.
This would be the "going away FU" to America thanks to the Bush regime.
