Obama Will Attend Copenhagen Climate Summit

President Barack Obama will go to Copenhagen next month to participate in a long-anticipated, high-stakes global climate summit, a White House official said Wednesday. Yvo de Boer, U.N. climate treaty chief, said that "the world is very much looking to the United States to come forward with an emission reduction target and contribute to financial support to help developing countries."

Stier- Obama Uncool to 'Bureaucrats'

The president of a government work non-profit is upset that President Obama has made government employees a target of his rhetoric. "After promising to restore faith in our government and make it 'cool' and 'competent,' you slighted our public servants by derisively referring to them as 'bureaucrats' in an effort to appease those who worry about a government takeover of health care," writes Max Stier of the Partnership for Public Service.

Heckler Raises $300,000 -- for Opponent

Obama Names Mitchell as Mideast Envoy

George Mitchell, the former Democratic senator from Maine, was named today as Obama's Middle East envoy. Mitchell previously brokered peace in Northern Ireland after decades of hatred and bloody violence. While the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a different bird, many of the skills Mr. Mitchell honed in Belfast bode well for his ability to get the Mideast peace process back on track.

The exclusive Sectera Edge, made by General Dynamics, is reportedly capable of encrypting top secret voice conversations and handling classified documents.
