Ginsburg: Congress' Watchdog Plan "Scary", Likens It To Former Soviet Union

Source: AP via Yahoo News

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg isn't afraid to speak out against the neo-con, pretty hate machine.

Her recent comments about Congress setting up a so-called "guardian for the judicial branch" hit the issue right in the button, and it is very damn scary and a move reminiscent of a country like China, Russia, or even Cuba--you know...countries that run puppet courts which have no separation of the federal government and the judiciary.

Their solution is to create an inspector general who oversees the courts, including the Supreme Court. One that would report directly to the Justice Department.

Hello theocracy-based, communistic, neo-con-loved policies; goodbye freedom and what little amount of democracy that is left here.

Is it time to move to a true, "free" country yet?

WASHINGTON -- Supreme Court Justice
Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Tuesday that a Republican proposal in Congress to set up a watchdog over the federal courts is a "really scary idea."

Ginsburg told a gathering of the American Bar Association that lawyers should stick up for judges when they are criticized by congressional leaders.

"My sense now is that the judiciary is under assault in a way that I haven't seen before," she said.

As an example, she mentioned proposals by senior Republicans who want an inspector general to police judges' acceptance of free trips or their possible financial interests with groups that could appear before them.

"It sounds to me very much like the Soviet Union was.... That's a really scary idea," said Ginsburg, who was put on the court by President Clinton and is one of its liberal members

Is it time yet to pull down all of the flags in this country and hang them upside-down yet?

Instead, how about burning our flags and raising the Chinese flag since we are now mirroring several communist countries' policies on every level of our government?

This country is in a very sad state of affairs, and the leadership is quickly moving the country away from the center--a center of free thought and freedoms--to an extreme right where there are so many limitations, they restrict your very being.

We are very quickly moving down a slippery slope, and even our rights to a fair judiciary system are currently under a very dangerous attack.

People need to wake up and a show a strong sign that this is truly unacceptable.
We will no longer accept the fleecing of our civil rights and now, the deliberate handcuffing and invalidation of our courts, the last set of checks and balances.

When the Supreme Court of this wonderful country loses its anonymity, power, and ability to keep Congress and the President in check, then truly, all is lost.
