With the fall of Saddam, many young Iraqi people have been able to pick up a keyboard and start typing about the status of their new country because before, anything like blogging would have been forbidden.
The opinions differ depending on religious (or in some cases, non-religious) background. Some bemoan the intrusion by the American forces while others praise the bloodshed and efforts taken to give the people freedom.
What the freedom is, exactly--well, that is anyone's guess.
The blogs are all an interesting read for anyone who is curious about what is going on over there that we aren't hearing here, but you'll have to make your own opinions about the credibility of the posts in each one.
I'd like to believe that each one is real, but in this modern era, who knows?
