And this brave, honest man is dead on point, THEY DON'T!, and they never have!
Via Business Insider: "As the war over income inequality wages on, super-rich Seattle entrepreneur Nick Hanauer has been raising the hackles of his fellow 1-percenters, espousing the contrarian argument that rich people don't actually create jobs.Billionaires I guess don't like it when a fellow 1-percenter tells actually goes against the grain and tells the truth?
The position is controversial — so much so that TED is refusing to post a talk that Hanauer gave on the subject. National Journal reports today that TED officials decided not to put Hanauer's March 1 speech up online after deeming his remarks "too politically controversial" for the site...".
"How dare you tell the common people that "trickle down economics" doesn't work and they are really just glorified slaves!"
"Those killing themselves below us, working harder for less pay, making us rich beyond our means might demand a living wage, clean water and nice things and we might have to give them better quality scraps off our golden plated tables!"
I guess the guys running TED.com prefer censorship and keeping the rich folk happy, rather than telling the truth (OMG?) and making the elite worry that those below them might wise up and rise up against the "Great American scam" (Dream? No, its been canceled, sorry, it has been sequestered!) going on ever since the Industrial Revolution...
