San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, 41, is running to become California's next governor, seeking the Democratic nomination to succeed Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Newsom could face 71-year-old Attorney General Jerry Brown and 64-year-old Lt. Gov. John Garamendi in next year's Democratic primary.
