In New York, people protested against Bush's war, Bush policies, and well, probably against Bush, himself, too.
In Afghanistan, nothing says protest like bombing the hell out of someone! People were either upset about the continuing occupation of Afghanistan by US soldiers or trying to ruin the memorial service. Maybe both.
