Pakistani President Blames The US For Bringing Terrorism To His Country

And he's not crazy for saying so -- it was the beloved Reagan era (with Ollie North, the Iran Contra affair, and the aiding of Osama bin Laden) that created the monster that is now al Qaeda, but the Bush Administration doesn't want you to remember that. It was our government who trained, clothed, and handed weapons to bin Laden and his compatriots, and after we had our own little terrorist group who could put a hole in our Russian enemies, we left the country. And we left it in a terrible state...which is why the area has gone to shit today.

I guess the only saving grace for our government is that we aren't the first country to do this. Great Britain did the same when it helped to establish the nation of Israel, effectively kicking the whole lot of Palestinians to the Gaza Strip and creating the mess that continues even to this day. Instead of saying that we're evil, you could say that our government is merely stupid and adding another page to the world history book on royal screw-ups.
