Updates From JonBenet Ramsey Murder Case

Suspect John Mark Karr Says He Drugged Child, Had Sex...
The American suspect in the 1996 killing of 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey told questioners he drugged and then had sex with his victim before accidentally killing her, a senior Thai police officer said Thursday.

Autopsy said no drugs found in JonBenet..
This is the JonBenet Ramsey autopsy report released by the Boulder County coroner on August 13, 1997. While a Thailand immigration official has said that John Karr, who was arrested yesterday in Bangkok for the girl's murder, reportedly claimed to have drugged the child before raping her, the autopsy notes that a "blood drug screen" was negative.

Karr's confession could be an elaborate hoax..
"In this particular case when you have an uncorroborated confession, I think it's good to be cynical and to be skeptical," Robinson said. "The suspect seems to be ducking questions about his connection to the Ramsey family, how the little girl came to be in the basement with him in the first place."

Robinson believes one thing is clear, however. This is the biggest development in the case so far.

"This is either the break that we have all been waiting for, or the biggest hoax that's ever been perpetrated in the JonBenet Ramsey case, a case that has had its share of wacky people involved in it."

Ex-wife gives strong alibi for JanBenet suspect..
Karr's ex-wife, Lara Karr, told KGO-TV in California that she was with her former husband in Alabama at the time of JonBenet's killing, and that she does not believe he was involved in the homicide.

Lara Karr said her ex-husband spent a lot of time studying the cases of Ramsey and Polly Klaas, who was abducted from her Petaluma, Calif., home and slain in 1993.

Suspect told father he was behind bars in connection with Ramsey case - in 2001...
John Mark Karr's arrest in Thailand after he had vanished for several years was a mixed blessing for his 85-year-old father.

"I thought someone had killed him," Wexford Karr said Wednesday afternoon while sobbing during a telephone interview from his home in Atlanta. "This is such a surprise that he is alive."

But learning his son was alive came with the news that his son, who is 41, was arrested in the Dec. 26, 1996, slaying of JonBenét Ramsey, he said.

Brother: "He was researching a book"..
VAN SUSTEREN: Did he ever mention to you the death of JonBenet?

KARR: Yes, he did, actually. That maybe we could get into more in depth. He was in the process several years ago, you know, maybe five, six years ago, long after the JonBenet murder, about researching a book he was going to try to write about men who create -- commit these horrible crimes against children. And I think he had even, at one point, been in contact with several, you know, convicted people. Like, I think that he actually had correspondence with the gentleman that was involved in the Polly Klaas case, and things of that nature. He was on the Internet, you know, doing research for his book.

And that's why I say, you know, it's very possible that through his investigations for the book he was trying to write, you know, he was contacting people. He was trying to get the real feeling of why these people did this, what they were doing, how they would possibly go about doing this. And maybe, you know, the FBI or whatever saw this -- you know, his going to contact these people or him researching the Ramsey case so thoroughly and having such interest in it, maybe -- that is the only possible way that we think that he could have been brought into this because, of course, there's going to be no physical evidence. If they do, in fact, have DNA at the scene, please test him immediately so he can be vindicated.

Question: "Are You Concerned About a False Confession?"
Boulder D.A.: "We Really Can Not Comment On The Evidence At This Time.."

The district attorney in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying said Thursday there is "much more work" to be done in the case against the suspect, and she warned the public not to "jump to conclusions."

Mary Lacy, who has spearheaded the investigation for Boulder County, did not immediately disclose any details about the case involving former schoolteacher John Mark Karr, 41, who was arrested a day earlier at an apartment in Bangkok.

Evidence of Pedophiles in High Places Blocked in Investigation into the Murder of JonBenet

EVAN RAVITZ ATTEMPTS TO TAKE HIS EVIDENCE OF CHILD ABUSE IN HIGH PLACES TO THE GRAND JURY, TO INVESTIGATE WHO KILLED JON BENET, BUT IS BLOCKED BY THE JUDGE AND DA! WHY?

September 20, 1999 Dear Mr. Kane, I wish to talk with the grand jury about the subject of the book Presumed Guilty by Stephen Singular: various ways child pornography and/or abuse could have been the original motive(s) for what became JonBenet's murder. One obvious possible connection with child porn is through JonBenet's pageant life. Pam Griffin, JonBenet's costume maker, says in the book (p.110) "One time Randy [Simons] wanted to shoot Kristine [Pam's daughter] nude, but I said absolutely not." There are other possible connections between the Ramseys and the child porn/sex world that should be investigated. Keeping a lid on this ultimate taboo could mean death for a headstrong child like JonBenet who couldn't otherwise be silenced.

Child porn and abuse are deeply ingrained into Boulder society. Some evidence is:

-The Child and Family Advocacy Program provides statistics that 204 Boulder County children under 20 were sexually abused in 1998. (Daily Camera 7/12/99, p. 1C)
-"Parent of the Year" Zack Prendergast returns his award when it is found he had been a trainer for The Children of God, a cult which advocated sex from infancy. (Daily Camera 8/5/99, p. 3B)
-Mr. Prendergast also runs fathering workshops. (Daily Camera 9/19/99, p. 1B)
-First Baptist Church treasurer Jerry Berry is arrested for fondling 3 little girls. Police find albums of child porn and seize 5 computers. (Daily Camera 8/14/99, p. 1B)
-The popularity of the late poet, former Boulder resident and Naropa professor Allen Ginsberg, avowed member of NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Love Association, whose motto was "Sex by 8 or it's too late." ( www.nambla.org/ginsberg.htm )
-There have been many other recent child sex abuse cases here, including several with the convicts in possession of JonBenet's photos, including Sean King. The above are all prominent people.
