"Adult hardcore pornography can tragically lead to sex crimes against women and children," the ad explains. "Yet sex videos are available in millions of U.S. hotel rooms which we strongly believe are prosecutable."
"We call on the Department of Justice to immediately investigate the companies that distribute it," the ad demands.
The Campaign for Corporate Responsibility includes the following conservative groups: Citizens for Community Values, Concerned Women for America, Family Research Council, American Decency Association, Morality in Media, American Family Association, Exodus International, American Values, AFA of Michigan, CCV of Indiana, Center for Moral Clarity, Center for Reclaiming America, and Coalitions for America.
God, that's a lot of uptight groups.
It's funny, really, that the groups that holler the most about "family values" and "porn is degrading" have the hardest time controlling their own firm supporters. Is it so surprising that the most uptight people in the world generally have:
1.) a fetish that even connoisseurs of bizarre fetishes find slightly strange,
2.) their own porn addiction
3.) repressed homosexual/bisexual feelings
4.) lustful feelings concerning children (NAMBLA, anyone?)
5.) and/or some sort of previous charges against them (sex crimes)...or they'll be charged soon enough.
Lighten up, people. Sex is healthy exercise -- it's not just for birthin' babies anymore. Porn is an OK habit as long as you realize that it's all just fantasy. Really...what kind of idiot sits around half-naked, waiting for the plumber to show up just in time to "fix their plumbing"?
