Republicans Break Deal To Preserve Voter Rights
The leaders of the GOP have basically set the tone that the passing of the renewal of the "Voters Rights Act" isn't important right now. Among 4 amendments being offered which will bring this process to a screeching halt is an amendment not requiring multilingual ballots.
I guess one way to guarantee your power base is to guarantee that those who cannot completely read English will be unable to vote.
By not re-upping the "Voting Rights Act" from 1965, Republicans in power are really showing how much they fear this coming election.
