The 316 Benefits Of Marriage
What has become of this country.
That we would knowingly strip simple rights we all take for granted simply because two men or two woman that love each other don't follow the churches template for marriage.
We, as citizens of a free country should not openly support the rights of our fellow citizens being denied simply because they chose to take a different route in their goal of "pursuit of happiness."
Instead, these people must live as social outcasts and constantly live in fear.
Are you truly a free country or free people for that matter when you must live in fear from day to day because the life choices you chose to make.
Those same choices you are supposed to be guaranteed to make under the constitution that all the straight and single people in America also live under.
I remember a very famous document that starts with the phrase, "we the people", it doesn't start with the wording, "we the people who aren't gay and choose to live acceptable lives according to societies and the church's rules and standards."
If you look past the social stigma of the male or female gay individual, there is a human being with feelings, hopes and dreams just like everyone else.
Do they deserve anything less than the right to have their slice of that "American Dream" like everyone else?
I think not....
