The Midday Quickie.
Supreme Court decision on Gitmo undermines Bush's legal case for warrantless wiretapping. Time for another run around with the Supreme Court as the Bush Administration doesn't follow man's laws.
Supreme Court Rejects Guantanamo War Crimes Trials. Court rules that president overstepped his authority and must abide by U.S. law and the Geneva Conventions governing the treatment of war prisoners. It's about time the Court holds this administration accountable for something.
Cost of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to top half a trillion dollars. As the deficit rises, so does the selling price of Halliburton stock. Are they connected possibly?
Texas GOP political adviser convicted of child molestation charges. Nothing funny to say about this other than justice is sweet, and it's another case of a high-ranking Republican operative in the middle of a scandal--how ironic?
Google launches Google Checkout service. Just about time for PayPal to wither away and die.
Canadian teen held in Guantanamo Bay prison. Bush doing his best to create new, younger, more passionate terrorists every day.
A judge believes former U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay withdrew from the November Texas Congressional seat election which may not allow Republicans to name a replacement candidate under current Texas law. DeLay would also have to remain on the ballot. Tom Delay and Republicans are owned.
Methods and possible fraud questioned in Sear Tower terror arrests. Another fake terror arrest? Really not so shocking coming from an administration that makes these laughable, staged press events a part of daily existence. Fake + fake always = fake in the end.
