Of course, Bush may have all the wood he needs up there in his thick head. However, if I hear another word about how Bush is such a "good ol' boy," I think I just might vomit. And I'm sure that's how the mainstream media will try to spin this.
More than five years in the White House, and Bush's best moment goes to a freaking fish???
Yeah, I love fishing, too, but I don't consider "catching the big one" the highlight of my life...especially when so many other important things have happened.
Then again, maybe that's why a fish ranks high on his list...because everything else has turned to shit thus far.
U.S. President George W. Bush told a German newspaper his best moment in more than five years in office was catching a big perch in his own lake.
"You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001.
"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.
The worst moment (he should have many of those)?
Bush said the worst moment was September 11 when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.
"In such a situation it takes a while before one understands what is happening," Bush said. "I would say that this was the hardest moment, once I had the real picture before my eyes."
Keep in mind that was translated from a German newspaper...just in case you are confused about Bush's proper English usage there.
Honestly, a fish. What does that say about your presidency, George?
