The Public Citizen report (PDF format) can be viewed here.
Well, here's something that's not very shocking--at least, to me it isn't.
Of the 100 U.S. Senators, Rick Santorum (R-PA) and Hillary Clinton (D-NY) have accepted the most from lobbyists this election cycle, according to a report released today by the group Public Citizen. The report examines donations by the 50 biggest donors on the hill.
Wow, Santorum's raked in a whopping $560,738 in gifts, and Hillary has collected $417,575 from lobbyists and PACs.
However, over the 8 year period that was examined by Public Citizen, former Sen. Tom Daschle beats everyone, having received $1,687,721 from lobbyists.
As for the lobbyists doing the giving, Jack Abramoff ranks 30th for donating $180,503 in contributions. It seems his clients were the big spenders ($2.6 million).
