The Morning Quickie Edition.
May is a deadly month for Iraqi reporters in a "super-safe and free" Iraq.
House GOP fails to move budget again; tax cuts for the ultra rich are a shoo-in, but including additional funding for education and health care for the masses? Forget about it.
The return of 'thought crimes' in Japan; civil liberties, including freedoms of speech and the right to organize, soon to be endangered. Bush to sue, claiming Japan is breaching his copyright on his plans to build a communist-like, theocratic state.
Report indicates July 7th bombings could have been prevented by authorities, MI5 knew the identities of bombers beforehand; another big-time British government-sponsored "FUBAR" moment?
It's looking more and more like Attorney General Alberto Gonzales may have intentionally misled Congress about controversial NSA spying programs.
The National Security Agency refused to grant Justice Department lawyers the necessary security clearance to probe the "illegal" warrantless eavesdropping program; cronyism and corruption wins again?
Follow-up: Ken Mehlman "IS STILL NOT GAY"; you know what they say about guys who are defensive about being called gay...how comfy is your closet, Ken?
Bush will veto NOLA recovery bill; nice "f@#K you" from the President to all the people still recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Army recruits allege injuries, punished with physical abuse, medical neglect; I'm waiting for them to use the above in one of their multi-million dollar recruiting campaigns. (**Personal note: I have several friends in the Armed Services, and I have heard similar horror stories and direct accounts of the above happening frequently. It's a very sad but true story.)
PoliticalCorrectness? out.
