The Midday Quickie.
Typhoon Chanchu Kills 8 in Southern China; 48 people in Asia killed, 27 Vietnamese fishermen dead, over 1 million people evacuated and homeless.
Sensenbrenner: Bush Turned Back on Bill; Karl Rove decides his methods of flip-flopping and dissing the Republican Congressional leadership in a meeting to unify the White House and GOP on the highly anticipated immigration legislation are a great tactic. Republican leadership tells Rove to go f#$k himself.
Former Bush campaign official sentenced to prison; suppressing votes in a key U.S. Senate race looks like the only way the GOP can win any elections. Jailarity ensues.
President Bush to Visit Yuma, Arizona; time for another faked photo-op followed by another "Mission Accomplished" banner to be hung. Fake + fake = still a fake, in my book.
Hayden to Face Tough Questions at Hearing; some questions like: that First Amendment thing, the one you say is crap and doesn't need to be followed...are you going to even make an attempt to uphold it?
