It's Time To Play The "Can You Read Between The Lines?"

Source: My Way News

It's time for another exciting round of everyone's favorite or not so favorite game! This edition is: what is President Bush really saying?

President Bush did not confirm or deny a newspaper report Thursday that the National Security Agency was collecting records of tens of millions of ordinary Americans' phone calls.

"Our intelligence activities strictly target al-Qaida and their known affiliates," Bush said. "We're not mining or trolling through the personal lives of millions of innocent Americans."

What is he really saying?

"The NSA has informed me that, with my low approval ratings, any one of you out there could be a terra...terrarist...turrist...enemy in disguise. And we don't care about what kinky things you're doin' with the neighbors while your husband's at work as long as you aren't swingin' with Osama."

Bush said any domestic intelligence-gathering measures he's approved are "lawful"...

Here?

"What I've done is legal. You see, I'm the president, and when certain laws are getting in the way of 'peace and prosperity,' I can make them disappear. Beat that, David Blaine!"

...and he says "appropriate" members of Congress have been briefed.

And here?

"'Appropriate' members of Congress were told about our plans, and by appropriate, I mean the few remaining Republican congressmen who still support me."

Thanks for playing! Until next time, America!
