FBI To Get Veto Power Over PC Software?

Did you know that thanks to a recent Federal Communications Commission "policy" document, you can use software on your PC only if the FBI approves.

I guess the heads of the FBI are getting quite irritated by softwares like Skype and PGPfone that do not support mandatory backdoors for wiretapping.

Two short thoughts on this:

Either we have become a communistic-style theocracy, and this is the start of a police state, or the FBI heads don't won't to do the extra work to get the wiretaps going.

Either reason is pretty creepy if you ask me.

No, really. In an obscure "policy" document released around 9 p.m. ET last Friday, the FCC announced this remarkable decision.

Americans don't have the right to use software such as Skype or PGPfone if it doesn't support mandatory backdoors for wiretapping. (That interpretation was confirmed by an FCC spokesman on Monday, who asked not to be identified by name.)

It's just about time to bring out the Hitler salutes for Bush and his anti-civil-rights government and start using phrases like "comrade" since we are turning into the very oppressive state we once despised--good old Russia or the U.S.S.R. to be more exact.

This is another one on the long list of attacks on one's right to chose and civil liberties. I just wonder when people are going to get tired of this and actually start standing up for themselves. How long will people continue to bow down to an inept, oppressive, secular government that only favors big business and those who share their narrow-minded religious views?

I don't know about you, but I personally have had enough of this generation's Hitler (Bush) and the GOP, and I'm ready for them both to go from power.
