Exxon Mobil chairman Rex Tillerson says he understands high gas prices are causing difficulties for people, but he knows the industry can't do much about it.
I guess they can't really do things like: invest in more refineries, upgrade refineries to produce more efficiently, or participate in a rebate or refund program to help people with high costs.
Basically, he shifted the blame again to others and said, "Tough shit, get over it."
Exxon Mobil chairman Rex Tillerson says oil companies do not get together and illegally manipulate oil prices.
He tells NBC's "Today" show that he understands gas prices are causing difficulties for people, but the alternative of no gas or long lines isn't attractive either.
Tillerson pointed out that the price of oil is set on the open commodities market and the price at the pump eventually reflects that.
Politicians and the public are looking for ways to deal with rising gas prices.
I, for one, will get over it.
I, along with millions of others, will remember these high prices when I go to vote this November 2nd.
Keep up on your narrow-minded view of "profits only," dear oil industry, and you will be the vehicle that causes massive changes in the local, state, and federal legislatures. Your thirst for profits and greed will dispose of those currently in power who bend to your powerful lobbying, every beck and call.
Thanks for fueling the change, America and the world...thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wallets.
