Ten states plan to sue the Bush administration to force better mileage rules for SUVs; Bush drives to dinner in Hummer and says, "We'll look into it."

Senators question FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III; top replies from the director include: no comment, I don't know, really, and how dare you try to hold me accountable--I am a Bush-appointee, after all!

Republicans drop a fuel, inventory-based tax plan after businesses object; businesses buy Congress votes after all, and the voters have no say in how their country is run...enjoying those high fuel prices yet?

U.S. use of secrets warrants increase; "I always feel like somebody's watching spying on me."

Senate retries immigration reform; go to lunch at restaurant that's run by immigrant workers, work in offices cleaned by immigrant workers, then asks themselves, "What good are immigrant labor to us again?"

US warns of tough Iran resolution; just joking--we are going by the "war is the only way" plan again because, after all, the GOP is the "manifest destiny" party!

Appropriations chair not afraid to stand apart from House GOP; I guess some Republicans do have a set of balls and think for themselves.

Urban pest will soon be out for blood; Congress and the big oil companies won't be the only things sucking you dry....

Mexico passes law that legalizes small possession of some drugs (like marijuana, heroin, shrooms, peyote, LSD, etc.) much to everyone's horror; just beware of your own immigration issue, Fox, because you may see a lot of American drug users running for the border soon.

(Will write more about this later, too) Have you heard about the Colbert Blackout? Yeah, this was the first I'd heard about it, too, because the media is apparently "upset" with Stephen Colbert's behavior at the awards dinner that took place over the weekend, so they decided to ignore the matter. Liberal bloggers became upset the lack of acknowledgment, and then the media retaliated with, "Colbert just wasn't funny."
