Former Liberian President Charles Taylor has to appear today before the international war crimes tribunal to hear the 11 counts against him against him for helping destabilize West Africa through killings, maiming, and the exploitation of diamond resources.
If you don't have any idea whom I'm talking about, then you need to pick up a newspaper or look him up in Wikipedia. Not a nice guy.
That paper I linked to above, by the way, has newer information (it just came in). Apparently, Taylor pleaded not guilty, saying he "couldn't have committed those atrocities that allegedly occurred during Sierra Leone's civil war." Right.
Also, please forgive me for the lack of images and cartoons today. It appears that Blogger is slowly dying once again. I'm lucky I can still post. :(
