I find this beyond revolting.
The all wonderful minds in control of the armed-forces are allowing conservative and fundie websites through while blocking liberal and Democratic sites and blogs.
Unfortunately anonomizers don't work out here (never have). Anyway, I had a few minutes today and thought I'd look and see what else was banned on the Marine web here.
I think the results speak for themselves:

To say this story got me a bit stoked would be a understatement.
What happened to letting people thing for themselves? The soldiers on the ground know that Iraq is turning into a civil war. You're not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes.
The blacklisting of sites/forums that don't have a 100% pro-Bush slant is a disgrace to freedom. It's a disgrace to those figting in harm's way. I thought for a minute that only repressive communists leaders pull these stunts. Guys like Castro and Putin...and then it hit me.
We have a guy in the White House right now that makes Castro look like an amateur on his best day. Freedom is flatlining, America.
