Mass. Gov. Romney Apologizes for Remark
No, this time it isn't Tony Snow, but you'd think the rest of them would learn from his mistake. Instead, it's Gov. Mitt Romney who makes the slip, claiming he didn't know the phrase had racial connotations. Hm, right. When I'm looking to describe a huge failure like the Big Dig project that collapsed and killed someone, the first thing I'd think to call it is "tar baby". Sure, it makes perfect sense.
Note to Romney: if you really want to make a run for the White House in 2008, you'd better learn what words and phrases have double meanings...especially bad ones. You wouldn't want to lose the minority vote, now would you? Idiot.
